March – where have you gone so quickly?! Looking at the calendar it’s crazy that it is almost April. I cannot believe how fast time is flying by lately. But this month has been a good one (nooot counting the weather!): I launched my blog, I got to visit the beautiful city of Budapest, but best of all I was able to spend some time with my family over the Eater holidays.
And of course food! I tried out many new recipes this month and got a lot of inspiration for future blog posts. I read many cookbooks, magazines and food blogs all the time… if I only had enough time to cook and bake all of the fabulous dishes that make my mouth water!
To share with you all the amazing recipes I find, I will start a new category at Naturally Homemade featuring my favorite food finds each month. I hope they will inspire you as well and make you want to get up, run to your kitchen and start cooking! 🙂
First things first! Let’s talk about breakfast! I could definitely have breakfast for every meal of the day (which I do sometimes!). This carrot cake baked oatmeal is to die for! Angela always comes up with such delicious recipes. My boyfriend and I had this oatmeal a few weeks back and couldn’t get enough! This is really a MUST TRY!
This rice and veggie bowl is just perfect when coming home after a long day. It bursts with oriental flavors, crunchy veggies and satiating rice. If you need a little comfort food that is still healthy and good for you, you have to try this one!
Soup. One of my favorite dishes. Light. Easy. Filling = Perfect for every time of the year. I found this recipe years ago and I cannot tell you how many (million) times I have prepared it since. It is just SO. GOOD. The combo of cumin, chickpeas, lentils, chilli and cilantro make this soup one of my all time favorites.
Mango. Kiwi. Coconut milk. This smoothie makes me instantly dream about summer and all its colors and flavors. Adding in kale makes this smoothie even more awesome and perfect for all the times this month I feel like summer, but the weather doesn’t!
This recipe made my heart jump. Pretzels, cherries in a cheesecake that is vegan and plant-based?! Expect me fixing this cake the next time I have people over. Wanna come over?
